Ausome News – Sarah Graduates from Georgian College Program!

Sarah, who is a long time member of our Craft Circle and Spectrum Connection social groups, recently graduated this past June from Georgian College, earning her diploma from the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant, (OTAPTA), program. Sarah worked hard and was dedicated throughout the two year program, graduating with honours.
Sarah really liked learning about anatomy during the program, and, as someone who had experienced attending physiotherapy as a client herself, she found she could relate to many of the things she was learning. The program offered smaller class sizes and Sarah enjoyed having the opportunity to get to know her instructors.
Sarah was a program tutor through the Georgian College Library and Academic Success program. She enjoyed teaching and loved having the opportunity to go more in depth with explaining things – it was great when those she was working with had their “a-ha” moments and they discovered their understanding of things!
Sarah is now hoping to find future employment that aligns with her OTAPTA diploma. She has been exploring job postings and would like to work with children in Occupational Therapy, or as a Lab Technician, which would allow her the opportunity to continue teaching in the labs as a program assistant with the college.
Congratulations Sarah on your Graduation from Georgian College and earning such an amazing achievement! We wish you all the best as you continue to pursue your future goals!
