Ausome News – Callum Recognized for National Volunteer Week!

Callum and Emily, Volunteer Resources Specialist for the Barrie Public Library

Last week Callum was recognized for his volunteer position at the Barrie Public Library.

Callum has been volunteering weekly with the Barrie Public Library since Spring of 2024. He began as a shelf reader in the DVD section, and over the past two years, his responsibilities have grown to include shelf reading the Audiobooks, Large Print Books, Junior collections – DVDs and Audiobooks, and checking the discs in the DAISY Collection, (Digital Accessible Information System). Callum enjoys his work with the library and he has become a valued member of their team.

Callum’s hard work and dedication to his volunteer position was recently recognized by Emily, the Volunteer Resources Specialist for the Barrie Public Libraries during National Volunteer Week.
