This week we were in Ottawa for both the CASDA, The Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorders Alliance conference (March 30th and 31st) and Autism on the Hill (April 1st). Both events were an important part of advocating support for a National ASD strategy.
We had a great time meeting new people and connecting with old friends in this growing and supportive community.
It won't be long until we are back in Ottawa next week to get the Transition to Life course started there!
We are very proud of the Barrie Transition to Life graduates for all of their hard work!
Thank you as well to everyone who was involved in making the course a success. This includes those at Autism Ontario, our teaching assistant Paulette, our mentors Chris and Ashley, and the guest speakers who came out to speak to the group.
We cannot wait to hear about the exciting things our participants will be doing to this upcoming year.
Thanks to everyone who came out to The Social Club events in February.
We undertook a new art project at Young Girls Night Out with dreamcatchers, they all turned out so unique and beautiful!
The Spectrum Connection was also a blast, we got a chance to go trampolining at Vertical Zone in Barrie. Check out the group and their graceful moves:
