Stay Calm and Carry On
Living an active lifestyle promotes physical and mental health and can decrease stress and anxiety considerably. Each monthly workshop will introduce new strategies and activities incorporate into your emotional toolbox that will help you stay calm and carry on.
October: Develop an understanding of anxiety and learn skills that will teach you how to keep yourself in a calm state, and begin a daily practice that will help you regulate your anxiety. Each session will include discussion, movement, and breathing with guided meditation practices. Individuals will be able to develop the skills to regulate emotional challenges they face at home, work or in life.
Questions to be answered:
- What is anxiety and how does it affect me?
- Where am I on the anxiety scale?
- What can I do to keep myself calm?
- How do I maintain this level of calm throughout the day/life?
Movements follow the practices of Yoga, Qigong and breathe movement practice.
Breathing includes belly breathing and coherent breathing with guided meditation.
Time 10:00am - 12:00am
Cost: $150.00 (Minimum 5 participants) for 4 sessions.
