Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with! He attended all TTL sessions even though he had to commute during the winter months! Mark is interested in working towards being a heavy equipment repair technician so during our time together, we explored the field and he engaged in an informational interview with someone working in the field. Mark also stepped out of his comfort zone as he joined the Social Club and did some very interesting community volunteer work! Check it out below! Congratulations Mark!
Here is his short bio:
My name is Mark I am 24 years old and was diagnosed with high functioning autism last year. For the past couple of months I've been working with Pat on future plans and strategies to help integrate my diagnosis into my daily life. In my day-to-day life I enjoy reading building plastic models and playing video games. One of best experiences I've had during my time in the TTL course was to join a group of volunteers working at Base Borden on restoring a second world German anti-air gun. The project has been running for the past 2 years and I have just joined it in the last couple of months. While we have only been working on it every other weekend. It has been an amazing experience working on restoring something that is nearly 75 years old!
