Andrew Joseph Roy:  August 22, 1989 March 5, 2018

On March 5, 2018 we lost a wonderful person. On that day, Andrew Roy passed away suddenly at 28.

It has been a very difficult month for everyone but last week, we came together to celebrate Andrew’s life. We talked about Andrew the collector, the gamer, the friend, the mediator, the talker and debater and of course - Andrew the Entertainer. Many members of the Social Club, friends from the Transition to Life course, parents and Andrew’s family members shared stories and memories of a wonderful person that left us far too soon. Thanks to everyone who joined us.

Here are a few highlights of the evening….

Andrew was eagerly anticipating his first potential Anime North Convention this May. In remembrance of Andrew, Social Club members want to attend together. Here are some of the members presenting a banner that they made to take to Anime North with them.

Andrew was a collector of many things…. Anime, Manga, Dungeons and Dragons, music  and videos - just to name a few..

Karen, Andrew’s mom, has shared this wonderful collection with us at IAC. It is now being catalogued for use as a library.

Andrew’s Wall is a new edition to our Centre. Although Andrew is no longer with us, we will always remember our jovial friend.

Thanks Karen and family for sharing Andrew with us! Thanks too for all of the loving support you have provided to all of us at Integrated Autism Consulting during the past month.
